Job Description
Case Worker
Location: Inner-city Adelaide
Employment type: 12-month contract
Salary: Crisis Accommodation Employee Level 2, Pay Points 1–4 (SCHADS Award)
Hours: Primarily weekdays with some flexibility across a 24/7 roster as required
About the role
As a Case Worker in our Supported Accommodation Service, you’ll work one-on-one with women to support their goals, recovery, housing needs and community integration. Using trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches, you will deliver compassionate case management tailored to each client’s journey.
You’ll also provide outreach support, collaborate with other services, and contribute to a positive team culture focused on safety, empowerment, and client-led care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop, implement, and review client support plans
- Assess risks and assist with housing, health, legal, education or wellbeing goals
- Deliver capacity-building support, such as life skills and community engagement
- Maintain accurate, timely records including NDIS-related documentation
- Support clients moving into independent housing or transitioning between services
- Work collaboratively with the team and wider service network to support each client
About you
You’ll bring experience in case work or community services, a deep understanding of trauma and homelessness, and a passionate commitment to supporting women.
You will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, human services, or related field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in case management or similar support roles
- Experience working with mental health, D&A issues, family/domestic violence and complex needs
- Strong knowledge of trauma-informed, strengths-based, and recovery-oriented practice
- Excellent communication, time management, and crisis response skills
- A belief in the inherent worth and potential of every woman
Other requirements:
- Unrestricted Driver’s Licence
- DHS Disability Services Employment Screening / NDIS Worker Screening
- Child Safe Environments Training (current within 3 years)
- First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
