Volunteers have played a vital role in the history of Catherine House and still do today.
We have Volunteer Board and corporate volunteers that assist with larger projects like – ‘garden makeovers’, ‘spring cleaning’ or refurbishing client living environments and many other interesting projects. Some people offer their specialist or professional services on a probono basis to assist clients.
With fundraising a necessary function to financially support our services. Our Fundraising and Event’s Manager is often looking for people with specific skill sets to assist her in the myriad of tasks associated with events, managing donations or admin work.
Volunteers in our service delivery areas are primarily needed in housekeeping services or for specific activities, courses or for mentoring clients engaged in or pursuing study goals.
Our strategy for Volunteer Recruitment is to advertise vacancies as they arise. Please check this page regularly as well as our Facebook Page for any new opportunities.

We are not always able to offer volunteer roles to all those that would love to assist us in our work with clients. However there are many other ways you can support us in our work.
You might like to run your own event to raise funds and awareness of the work of Catherine House within your family friendship or workplace.
We are always happy to come out and speak about what we do and how the community work alongside us- we can then highlight your efforts on our Facebook page and website.
So there are many ways you can indirectly volunteer your time, energy and passion for us. That way clients know there are many people in their community that care and making an effort to make a difference to their lives.

We are looking for a Tertiary Level Educational Tutor to mentor and provide support one on one with a client in the last year of University doing her Social Work degree.
