HEAR ME ROAR: A Concert for Catherine House
Trinity Sessions, Church of the Trinity and the Effective Living Centre present a concert with The Audreys, Kelly Menhennett, Laurel and the Women with Latitude Choir to raise funds for Catherine House.
The Artists:
THE AUDREYS. Live favourites and multiple ARIA award winners The Audreys began as university buddies and songwriting duo Taasha Coates and Tristan Goodall, forming in Adelaide in 2004. They released their first album Between Last Night And Us in 2006. The album went on to win that year’s ARIA Award for Best Blues & Roots Album and be certified Gold for record sales, catapulting them onto the national stage. Their next two albums also won ARIAs. Since the death of Tristan in 2022, The Audreys have a new lineup and have been recording an album of new songs co-written with Tristan and Cam Goodall and the band. They have toured extensively throughout Australia over the last 18 months.
KELLY MENHENNETT. Kelly Menhennett’s distinctive voice quiets the most crowded of bars, honky tonks and street corners in music-loving destinations all around the world. Armed with a shy charm and wry wit, she is a consummate storyteller. Her spellbinding mix of alt-country, blues, and ballads will leave every audience craving for more.
WOMEN WITH LATITUDE CHOIR. Women with Latitude is an all-female community choir aiming for excellence in performance. The philosophy of the group is to produce beautiful music in many styles that can be enjoyed by all. They have been performing regularly at the Cross of Sacrifice service on Anzac Day and their concerts in a variety of locations sell out; a testament to their combined vocal talents, song selection and sense of fun.
LAUREL. Laurel, Sophie Zerner, Laura Williams and Tara McHenry, have emerged as a fresh and exciting new voice in South Australian music with an intoxicating mix of jazz, folk and pop. Laurel blend heartfelt songwriting with delicate harmony and authentic artistry. Expect intricately crafted songs of love, loss and the journey in-between, in soaring three-part harmony.
