About Catherine House
Since 1988, Catherine House has supported women experiencing homelessness in South Australia. Catherine House provides crisis, longer-term accommodation and support services for up to 60 women each night, as well as supporting many others through outreach services. Our work deals with the immediate issues created by homelessness and assists women in planning a future that helps them sustain housing and build purposeful lives.
About the role
You will lead and grow Catherine House’s community fundraising footprint, with a strong focus on engaging schools, coordinating our Community Ambassador Program, and building lasting partnerships. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on relationship-building, enjoys public speaking, and can bring fundraising ideas to life.
Key responsibilities:
- Drive peer-to-peer and community fundraising initiatives, including the Catherine House Community Ambassador Program.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, workplaces, and community groups to inspire long-term support.
- Coordinate workplace and school giving programs, campaigns, and events to grow annual income.
- Support community fundraisers and ambassadors to succeed in their activities.
- Contribute to marketing and communications efforts to promote fundraising campaigns and increase awareness.
Desired skills and experience
- Minimum 4 years’ fundraising experience, ideally with schools, workplaces, or community partners.
- Proven ability to deliver fundraising campaigns and meet revenue targets.
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills to engage a wide range of audiences.
- Experience in relationship management and community engagement.
- Creativity, initiative, and a collaborative spirit.
