Catherine House Statement on the Outcome of the Voice to Parliament Referendum

Catherine House is deeply committed to reconciliation and stands in solidarity with Australia’s First Nations people. Whilst it wasn’t the outcome we had hoped for, we acknowledge and respect the decision of the Australian people in the Voice to Parliament referendum.

Compassion, listening, advocacy, and person-centred recovery are core values of Catherine House. We will continue to listen and advocate as we work towards achieving greater outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, who are disproportionately affected by housing insecurity and homelessness.
