Case Worker- Emergency Program 

 

We are very pleased to recruit for this role on our Emergency Program team.

Catherine House Inc. is a quality accredited, not-for-profit organisation that works with women affected by homelessness. A rare opportunity has come up for a skilled, enthusiastic and positive Case Worker to join the team and be part of our newly expanded Emergency Supported Accommodation Program, opening soon. Join a dedicated team of staff to support our existing clients and four new clients that will move into our two newly refurbished cottages, located close by. This is a full-time role, 7.45am-3.45pm Monday-Friday, based in the Adelaide CBD.

We are seeking an experienced Case Worker with the following skills:

 

• Experience supporting clients manage mental health, drug and alcohol issues, domestic/family violence and tenancy and housing issues
• Experience in all aspects of case work: crisis management, de-escalation of incidents and management of client behavioural and support issues
• Experience working with women from diverse backgrounds, cultures, religions and sexuality; women with trauma backgrounds as a result of childhood or adult experiences of neglect or abuse
• Experience working in a residential setting
• Excellent communication skills
• Current DHS Disability Services Employment Screening or ability to achieve one

Fundraising and Database Administrator

This is a part-time role: 0.6 FTE / 22.8 hours per week, with flexibility of days worked, as well as some work outside of core business hours.

 

We are seeking an experienced administrator with the following skills:

 

  • Knowledge and experience of the principles and practice of fundraising
  • Demonstrated skills in database maintenance and management, ideally with experience with ThanQ
  • Proven high level of organisational competence
  • Experience with cash handling and reconciliation 
  • Skilled in use of Microsoft suite 
  • Excellent communication, team building and interpersonal skills
  • Energy and enthusiasm for providing an excellent donor and stakeholder interface
