Catherine House offers transitional housing services to clients from our emergency program as a part of our post-crisis services.
These services are designed to further facilitate a client’s transition to independence within the community.
Referrals to the Moving On program and Outreach come via the Emergency Program as vacancies arise, however referrals to the Supportive Housing properties are open to all specialist homelessness providers. Access to these services is dependent on program vacancies.
Moving On program
The Moving On program consists of 8 two bedroom units, in which clients can stay up to 18 months. Clients work with their case worker on a weekly basis to address current barriers to living independently and eventually realise their goal of moving into long term housing.
The Outreach program provides support to clients already living in the community. This support may be ongoing assistance to sustain a tenancy or further advocacy to enable the client to secure long-term housing options.
Supportive Housing program
The Supportive Housing program provides clients with an initial 12-month lease in an independent unit while case workers address barriers to accessing long-term housing options.
