When our 975 guests arrived at the hall in the Convention Centre they were greeted by beautiful array of twelve colourful banners depicting some of the artwork in the book that was to be launched called…’Oasis……..a stage in the journey’.

Oasis is testament to the creative writing and artistic ability of the women who come to Catherine House with 95 pages of inspiring and insightful poetry and art. The book has been beautifully designed and produced by OpenBook Howden Printing who printed 1300 copies– at no cost to Catherine House!

Each book costs $25 therefore through their extraordinary generosity OpenBook Howden has so far donated an amazing $17,525, to our Vocational Education and Employment Program. The aim of this program is to ‘help educate women out of homelessness.’
